Get a Seagull ST36 (ETA 6497 clone) to start with, everything is bigger and easier to work with.

Make sure your work surface is high enough, you generally want it somewhere between your nipples and bottom of your neck.

Get good tools. They don't have to be Bergeon for example you can buy cheaper screwdrivers but replace the tips with Bergeon tips. The extra hardness makes a huge difference.

There are a ton of classes on YT and online in general now. I did the Time Zone watch school years ago and can recommend it as good value for money.

Yeah-I was kind of winging it at my home office desk with AliX tools.
