Have you tried testing it to make sure it’s not a cable issue? Mine was having a similar issue a couple years ago and I changed the cable and it’s been working since.
Some basic troubleshooting and had a local pool place “run diagnostics” (made me wonder how often they came back with a cheap fix - probably never) and said bad motor.
Will check into that.
