I have seen nobody say anything about Lebron opting out
Also, they would get no cap space, they would still be above the cap and wouldn’t be able to sign anyone

Which is precisely why he's going to opt out, he has them by the balls. They pretty much have to pay him, and he can pretend that he's going to leave in order to put pressure on them to waste their 3 available picks. They are pretty much screwed, unless they call his bluff.
