re: The greatest living American writer (Erik Larson) released his new book today

I like his books a lot, but he is a “popular” historian. He takes others’ writing and research, spins it with a nice turn of phrase, and makes the later narrative more interesting. Looks like he’s “spinning “ this one ab initio.
