Yeah ok. That isn't realistic.
YOu can want to big game hunt, but Maxey isn't available no matter what you throw at them.

Harris is an excellent defender and rebounder, and he can hit an open 3.
I"m not asking to break the bank with him, but if he was your backup 4 coming off the bench and small ball 5, i'd be very happy with that.
If he's poo, then the Sixers would still be giving us a picks if we gave them BI. I"m not giving up BI for just picks.
Isn't Harris a FA? He is 32 years old and clearly on the downside of his career.

Shamit just posted this hypothetical 3 way in response to someone from the Athletic proposing Ingram/21 for Duren/3.

quote:

Example:

Out: Ingram, Dyson, pick 21
In: Duren, Dejounte Murray, pick 3.

I think the Pels run with this. Draft Sarr, Collier, Shepp, or a big wing like Holland or CDub.

I think he's proposing using the trade exception from the Detroit trade to do a Dyson for Murray swap. How would Atlanta even consider that? It does save them $20 million in salary, but it's a pretty big downgrade for the 2024-25 season.

Yes. No one said you had to give him a $50M/yr contract. S&T's are still a thing.
No one said i was bringing him here to be the #2 on the team. I want to bring him off the bench.

He's been there for 5 years. Every single year the Sixers have been better with him on the court than off the court if you look at his on/off stats. He might not score 20ppg, but he's going to help the team win. As i said, he's big enough to hold his own against most small ball 5's, as well as 4's, and his length and defensive instincts make it hard on perimeter players to do anything against him. and he has always been able to knock down open 3's.

You can bitch he didn't score in last nights game, but if you are going to bitch about it, then talk about the 19 points he had the game before on 7-11 shooting.

Again, i'm not asking to bring him here to be a #2, a #3, or even a #4 on our team. He's coming off the bench and playing the 3/4 with Trey and Zion and some small ball 5.
