I'm with you. I'm afraid we're going to overpay for Trey. $25M is a lot for a guy who can't initiate.

25 million is not alot when his max would be closer to 40 million and there’s guys that cannot initiate that’s making max money

I mean part of paying him is the hope that he grows and learns to do those things like create.

In regards to Trey you either think this is who Trey is and he wont grow- hence you think hes overpaid.

Or you think Trey will just get better and add to his bag and this contract is a good deal.

I personally think Trey will add to his bag but I could be wrong.

This is because you want to pay BI a max extension. Look at the stats with this team with Trey on the court. He impacts winning. His space is so important for our actual best player. He is improving as a defender. He is also improving as an initiator. I have no problem paying Trey between 25-30M per year moving forward as long as we move on from BI and he is starting.
