I've taken my eBag Motherlode bag on multiple European Trips. 2 wheels though. Not a 4 wheel fan personally, but understand the interest.

Along with that Transporter backpack. Worked for me, but certainly probably not the best configuration.

Travelpro probably makes the best carryon option for you. Thule or Tumi if you want to spend more.

I got my wife the travel pro but the 19" "international" sized one and not the 21" one. Though 21" is the standard international vs 22" in the US.

I guess I was thinking just in case we get on a stickler LCC flight in Europe or whatever.

I pretty much believe people pack to fill the suitcase so you can force yourself to not over pack like the masses by getting either one of these good sized options.
