I don't live in Louisiana. Perhaps prices are different where you're at, but I wouldn't think they'd be that different.

Use the Google. Check out the national average for uncooked chicken wings. Last I saw it was actually under $3/#. Your "local grocer" is bending you over for those wings.

If youre paying $7/lb anywhere in the US, youre very much overpaying and not shopping smart at all. The only place I can imagine paying that much would be some farmers market where you overpay for everything because youre 'buying local'
