That's my understanding as well

We have his bird rights, we can just sign him and it counts towards the team's total salary amount but not any of the exceptions, so we'd still have the $13mil MLE to sign a free agent.

We don’t, but we also don’t have the money underneath the tax to pay JV and also use the NTPMLE without making a lopsided trade to move off some salary.

The most we will have available to us if we re-sign JV would be the taxpayer MLE at around 5 million
