The argument people have made is that we need CJ for being able to hit 3s because enough attempts leave with BI going.
I would think there are cheaper options than $30m for a guy who has D to go along with the 3.

Trey takes CJ's starting 3's attempted.
Jordan Hawkins replaces Trey's bench 3's.
Find a replacement for BI that takes more 3's.
Do that and we shoot more 3's and don't have to worry about a team hunting and torching CJ in the playoffs.
