There's an easy solution to all of this. Have the players become employees and collectively bargain to receive a fair share of the massive TV revenue. Place restrictions through the CBA on booster involvement to allow NIL to be what it was intended for. Let companies and businesses pay athletes for their name image and likeness through advertising, social media, and autograph signings. Shaking down the boosters for millions every year in this pay for play model we currently have is not only unsustainable, but it's driving fans away from this great game.

some kind of salary cap with maximums would be great too. And honestly if thats even possible, some type of limit on transfers based on eligibility would settle all this shite down too. Like if you have one year remaining the max is 250k.

Although is feel like anything like this would need to be a collective bargaining type thing which would most likely get shot down by a players association.

Believe me, I think long and hard about renewing my tickets every season and I need to just pull the trigger and bow out now

Obviously the tv revenue will sustain this way of college athletics so I guess they won't miss the ticket holders.

The issue with this is with money being taken away from athletics, how do they bridge the gap to afford other sports that depend on football revenue? Those just have to go away now?
