That’s the root of this philosophical war. I am now convinced you must have an authority above men in your framework. It doesn’t even matter if God is real or not (he is). If he isn’t, then we make him. We imbue him with the wisdom we lack, and he holds onto it for us, as weak and venal men are born and die. He reminds us of the way when we get lost.
