The spike produced by the vaccine is modified in order to camouflage the RNA from the innate immune system. Perhaps that may have some unintended nasty consequences?

The lipid forms a protective 'cocoon' around the mRNA to protect it and facilitate delivery via the cell membrane, into the cytoplasm where the mRNA functions to build the "spike." mRNA's intracellular lifespan is brief.
