Starbucks coffee is objectively not good in large part due to their success. At their volume it is impossible to consistently source good coffee beans, so in turn they overly roast everything.

If you want high quality coffee stay out of Starbucks and get the light roast from whatever coffee shop you happen to be in.

Look, I consume most of my coffee at home. When I do get coffee out, I try to support local places. I generally only go to Starbucks when it's convenient (and its app helps this a lot). So, I'm not going to argue that their coffee is excellent or the best, etc. However, they've had lighter roasts for years.

it's not bad but out of the 5 or so coffee places close to me, it's easily my lest favorite
