There’s 20 other posts in here of people that like fishing with their own gear. I prefer baitcasting for throwing anything other than popping corks, and this was before live shrimp started dominating the fishing. He had nothing but spinning tackle (understandably). “Typical Louisiana guy” because I want to bring my own stuff? I’ve fished charters all over the country for decades, and he’s the only one that vehemently tried to keep me from bringing my own gear.
