Two outs and the bases were loaded. Wtf are you talking about?

You lack comprehension and ignored context, Here is the complete sentence
;
Had he executed as I suggested it is very possible he could have gotten the out or at worse stopped the ball from leaving the field and allowing the winning run to score.

So obviously if he caught the ball with his foot in contact with the bag the game is over and Tigers win.

If he doesn't get the out but keeps the ball in the field of play the game is tied and he was able to keep the winning run from scoring on the play.

The ball was throw 3 feet off target pulling him into the path of the runner. Wtf are you talking about.

If the throw was only three feet from the base and Jones placed his right foot on the inside corner of the base then he clearly should have been able to stretch and catch the throw or at worse slide less than a foot to his left and make the catch off the base but preventing the winning run. He doesn't enter the base path and catches the ball before it ever enters into the base . He couldn't do that because what would have been his lead left foot was jammed awkwardly against the bag.

Oh never mind. You watched unrelated youtube videos.

Yeah, it was a video of some guy named Pujols. The narrator introduced him as a Gold Glove winning first baseman. He looked good and very knowledgeable. Someone told me he was a pretty good hitter. I am going to check this out cause usually these kind of guys are good field, no hit types. If he actually hits any thing like he fields he should be in the Hall of Fame .

They’re running on contact. There’s no chance at a throw home even if it’s 100 mph strike to first.

Eta there was no context lost. The runner crossed home damn near at the same time Milazzo actually threw the ball.

Have you ever been on first base with a runner crashing down the line. He positioned himself correctly in the scenario. The “all world defensive wizard catcher” has to make that throw. It’s a tough play on everyone.

The runner " crashing down the line " is irrelevant." No where did I state in any of my 30 posts trying to educate you dumb fricks that Jones should ever position himself in the base path or even enter the base path. I clearly stated he should position his right foot at the inside corner of the bag. The runner has a clear unobstructed path to the base. Jones should be in a slight crouched position ready to stretch up, down or in any direction with his glove up at about chest height as a target. If the throw is off target he either stretches to make the catch with his right foot against the bag or he slides toward home plate remaining parallel to the base line but never entering into the runner's path. Yes, the error was clearly on Milazzo.

Er, Alabama scored the tying and WINNING run on the play. If Jones keeps the ball in the field of play even if he has to leave the base to catch it the game is only tied. I don't see how you find this confusing.

Ok my bad you’re right. The winning run was on second but that doesn’t change the argument of this thread. You added that as an anecdote because Jones forgot his Gumby suit at home.
