Eta there was no context lost. The runner crossed home damn near at the same time Milazzo actually threw the ball.

Er, Alabama scored the tying and WINNING run on the play. If Jones keeps the ball in the field of play even if he has to leave the base to catch it the game is only tied. I don't see how you find this confusing.
