How would your family and friends react if you began interracial dating?

No, I have never been in an interracial relationship and don't plan on getting into one, but I see it all the time and just wondered how receptive those close to you felt.

I have a friend that is in an interracial marriage and it doesn't both me, and I think my family would be fine with it eventually. I think they would be shocked at first, simply because I've never done that, but I feel they would be accepting of the relationship. My friend, who is white and has two beautiful children, says they hear negative comments quite often, but have learned to ignore them.

So how would your family and friends react?
