So I had the generator hooked up and running 2 refrigerators and a shop fan. Entergy literally texted me that power restoration would be pushed back to 10p on 5/16... 15 minutes before they restored power.
I still have that shop fan blasting air around the house, and the AC cranked up now. Feels awesome.

I’d love to see behind the curtain to understand how their automated notification system actually works.
It seems to work reasonably well during isolated outages, which makes sense. But I don’t think it’s reasonably practical/possible to give accurate estimates on power restoration times for specific addresses after a widespread weather event, when you often have crews assessing and making repairs as they go.
I bet a lot of it is based on metrics (e.g. estimated number of repairs combined with the number of crews in an area along with average time to asses and repair each item, in order to develop a rough guess) rather than actually based on real reports of the specific repairs needed in each neighborhood.
