Daddy needs to know if he can go drop this $20 bill on some blow or I need to go get a bullshite sticker slapped on my windshield. Times are tough and I don’t need to get harassed by the 5-0

It was pulled by the author atleast a month ago.

His reasoning was because of how much it would take from state police, if I remember correctly

It’s been amended to raise inspection sticker fees by $8, include additional emissions checks, and add a seatbelt and child seat inspection fee as well. /s

You should know the government never removes fees - politicians only talk about proposed bills - to get you fired up - but they never see the light of day.

DOA. LSP need the funds. Going to pay the family of Ronald Greene bigly before it's over. Beat the man to death and tried to cover it up.

Bill 344, which today passed committee at the capitol.
. Voice of reason
quote:

Representative Larry Bagley (R) of Stonewall believes they’re a waste of time and money. “I just think this is an unnecessary task that we perform, and you know the ten dollars isn’t a big deal, the fact that I have to have it and if I forget it then the fine is much bigger than that having to be stopped and checked by the police and check all that out to see and I’m okay and they let me go, I just don’t see any need for that,” he said.
and then you have the democrats
quote:

Meanwhile, others like Rep. Travis Johnson (D) of Vidalia oppose the bill and support the use of the stickers, noting safety and accountability for drivers. ”If that tire pops or that belt pops and you just lose control, then you put others at risk,” Johnson said. “I think it is a very, very dangerous thing unless you can tell me otherwise, I don’t see this being a good thing for the state of Louisiana.”
quote:

Despite opposition, the measure passed committee in a close vote, six to five on Monday. The bill now moves to the House.

Yea that definitely stalled as it does every year.
