Question for my fellow Veterans?

A lady I work with who recently lost her Dad was a Veteran. She said she has his service photo stored somewhere but cannot find it. She knowing I was Veteran asked me where she could get a copy. Only thing I can think of is contacting the VA. Is there anyone else that may have his service photo on record? I know sometime the VA can be a nightmare to deal with.

Is the lady the veteran? Or is her dad?
Your first sentence is confusing without commas.

Her congressman’s office can probably help.
“Constituent services.”

I don't know that VA would have it. Maybe.
Were I wanting my service photo, I would contact the folks where I went to basic training.

The VA does not keep military service records or pictures of service members. That is either housed in the National Personnel Records center with more recently discharged Veterans records typically residing with the service branch.
Even saying that, there is no guarantee his picture is in those records. Very likely it is not.

You can try a site like this.

Assume other services are active as well. They have all kinds of pics even boot camp. You might even fond someone who knew your dad on there. Worth a shot.

What branch? I contacted Headquarters Marine Corps for old family USMC stuff and they were extremely helpful and quick to respond. They found what I was looking for.

I.was Air Force enlisted. No such thing as a service photo for enlisted. Officers, yes. I retired in 1986, things may have changed.
