A good talking point for a month. Don’t think it gets done anytime soon, don’t see the financial benefits for the university or state.

I am finding people with this view are usually very low-information. They can’t analyze an issue and intelligently talk about it other than parroting what they hear other low-information people say.

This thing is going to happen, and it will likely happen in less than 5 years. It won’t be built with public money, and LSU will have the nicest arena in the SEC.

I really hope you are correct, but there is far more evidence that suggest it will be a total clusterfrick, with political forces and gains being involved. And then at the end it will leave a lot to be desired.

But I hope none of that happens. Just won't be optimistic until it does.

EXACTLY RIGHT!! And most that post negative things on this message board are trolls and undercover fans of other schools scared sh#tless that LSU is getting ready to land a premier state of the art arena at no cost to the state. They fear this will bring in more fans and help as a recruiting tool to bring in talent for the teams that play there.

Who could be against it?!?!?! Only people that hate the LSU teams that play there!

I too believe it will happen, and I was in total agreement with you until the nicest arena part. It will still need a blessing of some sort (real or imagined) from La. politicians and will be held hostage at some level to ensure this blessing. These hostage negation's will in turn cause private investment funds to be funneled away to the extent that, to ensure profitability, corners will be cut and we will be left with something less than the best.

If for some reason this doesn't happen, I would expect us to start a locust and four horsemen at the facility opener.
