Reading this thread is really incredible that this widespread damage was caused by a line of severe storms. Anybody that didn’t know would swear they are reading discussions after a Cat 3 passed through.

A legit Derecho is no joke, they can be more damaging (area impacted) and just as costly as many tornado outbreaks.
Here's a rabbit hole to go down. It is a playlist of videos from the August 10/11 Midwest derecho. It caused more than $11 billion in property, infrastructure, and crop damage.
