I don't know how you really "pitch to contact" when you throw 100+. Even relatively weak contact by major league hitters can go a long way. If you are throwing 100+ it's to miss bats...not induce groundouts. And the breaking ball is just as hard to hit when you have to gear up for 100

I was at the game in the Astrodome when Jim Deshaies started the game with 8 consecutive Ks.

We just knew he would get to 9 and then the pitcher put it in play.
