right. I just want a tax credit for what I personally contribute to the public school system.

what I dont want, is bad kids parented by bad people flooding into private schools.

Or I'm simply not going to play your silly little diversion game. You attempted some gotcha question, I posed the path for you to find your answer and you subsequently ignored that to try another gotcha. Typical 4chubbies move. Thanks for playing though.

I want tax credits for what I personally contribute to the police system and fire department. I don’t use those services.

ETA: and to incarcerate people. And to run the courts.

Have no idea. What does that have to do with school vouchers?

Because the line of logic is that public funds should only go to public resources.

private schools have requirements for acceptance, and they kick out the bad students that do manage to find their way through the acceptance process. this won't happen, unless the government puts some stupid rules on them that they have to accept students they wouldn't otherwise. if that's the case then this system will be shite and is a no go.

ideally, yes.

MF'ers act like everything being "publicly funded" isnt a relatively new phenomenon.

Myself and my three siblings all did 12 years of private Catholic schools, and I have no children.

So we have gotten nothing from the multiple tens of thousands of dollars my parents and I have paid in taxes that go to our government indoctrination centers, except a dumbed down public that’s barely employable and functional citizens.

Like another poster said, how about they refund us some of those taxes since we don’t use public indoc centers.

Why should I have to fund La’Shonda’s six illegitimate kids “education?”

You absolutely do. Your insurance is based on it.

She's a public school teacher and can't link articles. What a ringing endorsement for school choice.

This is a huge risk. Wait for the next Governor Roberto Boucher and a push for schools that accept these dollars have to have students with IEPs.

Oh, so the police department doesn’t patrol your neighborhood or answer your 911 calls if request officers?

And the fire department won’t come to your trailer if it’s on fire?

Just STFU.

Good. School choice is immensely popular. It's one of the most popular GOP policy planks.

Just give me back what I pay I school property tax which is about 3K a year and I’m good.

A true voucher system would work this way. You get your voucher, thus your money you've paid via taxes, to use at whatever school you want and that will accept you. The problem is that governments want to get their slimy little hands in there and start dictating requirements. If the voucher goes directly to the parent who then passes that voucher as payment to the school, then that should be the end of the process.

I also believe public schools should be part of that voucher system. For the kids who don't qualify for private schools then they would have their choice of public schools. This would create competition and force the schools to actually try and do better. Unfortunately our school systems are run by corrupt pieces of shite.

Did you know that the JeffParish superintendant just received a $50K pay raise? It was voted on by the school board and approved. I believe he now makes $250K per year. Meanwhile JP is an absolute disaster of a system. It's broken almost as bad as NOLA.
