I don't live in EBR, but I do send my kids to private school and half the reason is peer group. I don't want them around people who will simply start massive fights in the hallways, carry about with a shifty attitude about education, cause trouble and disruptions in the classrooms and inject a criminal element into the environment. And, I live in a high majority caucasian area, so it isn't about race, it's about parental involvement and expectations for their kids.
