Whether you agree with it or not, history has shown that a video of the incident always makes it worse. See pretty much every NFL domestic violence issue

You don’t, but I believe public perception is more affected by an actual video of an assault. Not saying that is right. Just seems to be the way it is.
Also, there seems to be a lot more complaints going against Diddy than Chris Brown. This should be the end of him. That picture does look awful and you are right that Chris Brown somehow overcame that with ease.
