While ZipRecruiter is seeing salaries as high as $45.54 and as low as $9.76, the majority of salaries within the Benz jobs category currently range between $14.09 (25th percentile) to $29.71 (75th percentile) with top earners (90th percentile) making annually in Tuscaloosa.

I don't think there's anyone working at .Mercedes making less than $17/hr.
I'm pretty sure that's starting pay for even the most remedial job.

I doubt they pay the most of any auto assembly plant, but it could be the highest of the non union plants.
And just a tidbit...
Dues to the union are 2 1/2 hours' pay per month.
You're basically giving the union nearly a week's pay a year.

A guy that worked for me had worked in a UAW auto-plant in NY before it closed. He was a hard working guy, but if he did more than the quota the shop steward expected they would "crawl up his arse."

What did the American worker do to you?

What are labor unions doing for American workers? I watched guys pay into union dues for almost 20 years and when the plant shut down, the company kept who they wanted and told many senior guys to go get fricked. I see it where I am today where the union has been there for decades, it creates an environment that doesn't inspire a healthy work ethic, a stab each other in the back system, and screws over the new guys so that half of them leave.

I'd be identifying every person in that pic and over time relieve them of their duties.

My cousin and his wife both work for Mercedes. They love it. And they built a 5k square foot home in south Tuscaloosa County. It's gorgeous. I'd say they're doing alright ( to be clear, he has worked there 22 years,.and her 17)

Stay out of Alabama business

Alabama automakers don’t want the UAW to bring to Alabama what they brought to Detroit.
