None of that matters. Griff loves Big Game Hunting, he just never brings the right ammo.

Guys, no one is offering someone as good as BI or Herb, much less both. And we have twice the picks and young players. Pels being involved is the Cavs wet dream.

Agreed.

Lakers, Heats, Rockets, doesn’t have a player nearly as good as BI. You be crazy to think Nets will offer something good with their trade history.

You obviously only do it if he agrees to the extension before the trade though,
Then sign me up... but there's zero chance that happens.

If we can convince him to sign an extension with us, you give them BI, Dyson, Nance and whatever picks needed to get them to throw in Allen. Mitchell is the guy that you empty the war chest for
You're not getting Mitchell without giving up 1 of Herb or Trey.

The only team that is at least a playoff team that can match our mix of high level players and picks is OKC. Unless they want to blow it up, a lineup of Garland, Dyson, BI, Sturs and Mobley is potentially a top 4 team in the East, with extra picks to upgrade.

Now imagine a lineup of Garland, Herb, BI, Strus, and Mobley.

Exactly. Their leverage is not strong. They HAVE to deal guys

If he signed the extension with us, then ok, but as i said, i also want Jarrett Allen, and i'll give up picks to make that happen.

BI and Trey are worth more than Mitchell imo.
I'd think you could just offer Trey and picks and that would be more than anyone else would offer. and then you could send BI somewhere else.

Only way Nets can beat any of our offers is if they trade Bridges, and that ain't happening.

I been asking for a d mitch trade for weeks. Everyone keeps saying it's a rental. Well Toronto rented kawhi now they have a banner hanging. Mitchell and zion with trey advancing his game another level and if we can get Allen too. That's a damn good team. The biggest flaw would be Willie. Hopefully he can get reach out and get advice and be better next year.

When has that mattered for top 15 type dudes?

We had exactly team we could trade AD too, and it went for what most at the time were saying was arguably the biggest trade haul of all time.

I hear you but Kawhi went to a 59 win team, and was at the time much better than Mitchell is now.

Scenarios are a bit different but I do agree he's probably the best potentially available dude this offseason and would certainly improve our team by a good margin. I just don't think there's any chance it's anything more than 1 year.

What is the offer we are competing against, for the depressed asset?

Is Phoenix going to put Booker on the table? Nets and Bridges?

Jarrett Allen won’t go for much. Rumors are that each side are frustrated with each other

Correct. Just an offer of BI, Dyson, and 3 1sts is better than the Lakers, Heat, and Nets best realistic offers.

If Mitchell is willing to resign with any of the teams listed (big if) the Rockets are the ones we have to worry about. They can put together a package of good young players and have lots of picks to throw in too. Luckily we have the best established player in Ingram to offer them. I’d hate to get in a bidding war with Houston

No one else was going to beat a Lakers offer and they still gave up a massive haul. Your logic would dictate they didn't need to, but they did. Because that's what it takes to get a top 15 dude.

One of Herb or Trey would have to be on the table just to get Cleveland to negotiate, I'd imagine. No chance they agree to a deal without one of the 2.

Nets would be Cam Johnson, DFS, Cam Thomas and those Phoenix picks

Lakers would be Reeves, Rui, JHS and their 3 picks with the 1 swap

Heat would be Herro, Jamie and their 3 1sts

We not beating those with BI and our picks, Cavs will see those picks as future gold since all 3 are older teams that will likely only be good for 2-3 years at the most

AD wasn't signing an extension with anyone and his shite head agent was telling everyone he'd be a one year rental.

Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and picks from the Celtics was what they were competing against.

Mitchell is going to sign the extension and stay in Cleveland, so I don't know why everyone is wasting their time with this thread.
