Might have some pit but not much. Keep her!

Definitely about 45% pitt. Your wife sounds pretty smart.

Looks clean and healthy. Someone was definitely caring for that pup

Pics taken after clean up. She smelled like death. Her white bits were yellow and completely covered with ticks. It doesn't show in the pics but she is very thin. Ribs and hip bones showing.

After tweezing a jar of ticks, a bath, flea meds and a bunch of good food she is sleeping on a nice temporary bed. If things work out with my 7 year old and my other dog she will get her own lazy boy in the house

Lol. All three of my stray mutts have an element of danger. One looks like a wolf and once ate a dove on a restaurant patio to the diners’ horror. Another talks crazy like Chewbacca, and we once saw her snatch an adult coon off a privacy fence and kill the shite out of it. And the one I found a little over a year ago does this crazy low growl. She has to be touching me at all times. But she is an escape artist and her nose beats loyalty to me at every opportunity. She also can root out a mole in milliseconds.

Anyway Godspeed OP. Pretty pup. You’re going to be licked to death.

Good on you my man. The only hint of pit I see is around her snout but don’t let that deter you from taking her in. She will likely be a loyal companion until she crosses The Rainbow Bridge. I have a soft spot for strays that appear in my life and can’t turn them away. It might not seem worth it in the first couple of months after rescuing a pup but I think you already know it’s worth it.

She will have a good home. Shitty people drop off animals at a nearby camping are on Lake ouachita and they find their way here.

We always make sure they wind up with a good home. Currently have four 8 week old kittens in our laundry shed. They are japanese bobtail mix and cute as hell if anyone is interested

100% good girl. God bless you for taking care of her. If she let you spend 4 hours pulling ticks off of her and giving her a bath without trying to bite, I don't think you should be concerned about aggressive behavior. I have taken in several animals who have been dumped and can honestly say that rescue pets are some of the best. I hope she is a wonderful companion for you for many years to come.

Bella is yours now. Love her. I'm not sure what you will name her, but it's my choice.

I see some pit features but regardless, you don’t know the dog’s temperament yet so protect your kids first & keep them apart awhile.

Don't worry she'll fatten up nicely once she eats your kid(s).

She’s pretty. If she’s a pit bull mix, she won’t be a murderer

I have a half pit/half lab and it’s hands down the greatest dog I’ve ever owned. And I’m not some kind of pit enthusiast. I’m just saying.
