I’m pretty sure she admitted she wasn’t trapped. She was only “stuck” because she was concerned opening the doors might mess up the software update…which has far worse consequence than heat stroke.

1) you have to basically double opt in to start the update via the app and it makes you confirm the car won’t be usable while it’s updating (which is why everyone schedules it overnight)

2) you can cancel the update mid update at any time from your phone and it tells you that when you start the update

3) you can open the doors without power with the handle that may damage the window seal if done too much

these stories and headlines are part of why our society is so fricked up, we turn legitimate retards into victims
