No team is "poised for years" that's not how the NBA works. Injuries and fa affect the league more than any other sport because it's just 5 guys playing at a time for your team.
People thought the OKC Thunder with Durant and Westbrook would be contenders for years, that didn't happen.
How many title runs did the Warriors miss out on because klay and KD got hurt?
Giannis was the supposed best player on the planet and only has one title.
There's just too many variables.
