The same group complaining about this loser’s pre-trial incarceration are the same ones who would freak out about any overarching changes to bail programs.

They would also freak out about (or defense major LEO over- response to) any other attack on LEO, or, hell, potential threat of attack on LEO, if the demographics were right.
