I'm not talking about new bands. I'm talking about the popularity of old bands. Lots of stations in every city specialize in classic rock. Hell, some of the Rolling Stones are in their 80s and they sell out concerts.
That did not happen with the stars of prior generations (crooners) or subsequent generations (disco).
