That’s already the case with some schools, but to your point I think it will also push some schools to shutter entire sports because the ROI isn’t there. Some schools are barely break even on athletics and now they have to pay kids. What stinks are the loss leader athletics that will get demolished to cover the QBs salary.

I can't think of a single change they've made to the sport in the last 5 years that has been for the better in any way at all. Its almost like they intentionally keep trying to find ways to actually make it worse.

For everyone who has been complaining that LSU is “behind in NIL”, it’s because they have been preparing for this major shift which is going to make the “Bayoun Traditions” type collectives obsolete very quickly

You're going to have to explain that further.

Why would they be behind in nil because of this ruling?

LSU started out of the gates trying to do NIL in good faith by lining up endorsements for student athletes and rallying local businesses to provide those endorsements. Once it became clear that there was no true enforcement and other schools (like A&M and Texas) were able to set up these “collectives” that were truly just middle men between donors and players LSU started but the Bayou Traditions collective is well behind other similar tradition funds.

Our football NIL is still fine overall, but its disorganized and fragmented and smaller sports were struggling getting funds. I think it’s being run by Brandon Landrys wife?

But I heard admin hasn’t spent as much time or effort time trying to ramp that up recently because they are preparing for everything to go in house. Sounds like that was the right choice based on these rumors
