Rarely does it turn out how you think. For instance, this idea that now an a,ready powerhouse in baseball is going to become even more of a powerhouse just won’t happen because players want playing time. It’s why we see studs using the portal now. If a LSU already has a stud shortstop they next stud will take the money from another school who has an opening. We’ve already seen how schools like Bama and UGA have been robbed of their depth because a school no longer owns a player for 4 years. If a stud isn’t treated like the king with playing time he’s gonna leave. I’ve said this before, but my team, GT, has more 4 stars on our roster today than ever in history and it’s all due to the portal + playing time. If it wasn’t for the portal these guys would still be in the 3 deep at all the big boy schools they signed with. How many pitchers will want to sit while they wait their turn? Not many.
