It’s a long shot but not impossible. Odds are crazy on FanDuel. I bet $10 and would win $2K. Just thought I’d pass that along to you risk taking baws. I also bet $10 for rookie of the year, but those odds aren’t as crazy. That’ll win $120.

Unless he allows no hits in every outing going forward, there's no chance the BBWA will do that.

They have played a quarter of the season. He has had 2 starts. How many starts did he miss? 4 or 5 starts? That’s a good amount of starts. $1200 on a $10 bet, that’s better odds than the lottery.

Joey B won the Heisman and nobody really saw that coming. That’s gambling for you. It’s only $10. It went to a rookie in 1980. We shall see.

If he threw no hitters in the next three games he’d be a candidate now. We also don’t live in fantasy and this isn’t happening. He will also have bad outing as a rookie and teams watch him more and game plan better.

Regardless he looks like he will have a great career if he stays healthy

There's a reason you're getting those odds. A rookie hasn't won the Cy Young since 1981. He's going to have his share of rocky outings this year.

Ichiro won the MVP as a rookie.

Isn’t the Cubs rookie the favorite for the Cy Young right now

He hasn't been the best rookie pitcher so far this season. And he's not going to have the numbers to beat Zach Wheeler

He was also an experienced pro who came over from Japan. Rookie under the rules but not someone just promoted from the minors.

Do you understand why this is the case?

It’s a fun bet. I think the odds reflect the likelihood of it hitting.

But a lot of us play the lottery.

I look at bets like that as entertainment money.

This has the added benefit of pulling for an LSU guy.

I like it and hope ya win.

He will also be limited late in the season when it matters. Good luck though I’ll be pulling for it!

No way. Please explain. I guess you didn’t comprehend my “long shot” usage. You’re just as dumb for accusing me of being that dumb.

Paul Skenes was simply savage in Wrigley. How many 100+ mph pitches did he toss? Nary an offspeed fastball to be found in Skene's repertoire
