threw a great TD against south carolina.

forgot all about that. there were a few things we seemed to do in that SC game that just weren't done again or much at all afterwards (like Chuck and KW in the backfield at same time for one)

lol, Hatch can not transfer to Harvard. Harvard will not be accepting transfers for the next two years. Widely known in Cambridge.

He may not be a starter, but I thought he was more ready than Lee. He just looked more under control behind center than Lee. Hope he does well at Harvard.

I already told you, because of Gary Crowton.

So he would leave a school like Harvard to come be a 3rd string QB at LSU. Gary Crowton wasn't going to magically make him NFL material.

Did he really just think he could make it in the NFL for some reason?

I just don't see why someone that doesn't have any NFL talent would leave a school like Harvard to be 3rd string at an SEC school (besides Vandy).

Apparently you don't know the relationship he has with Crowton. He went to Crowton's camp all 4 yars when he was in high school. Crowton became a family friend. They talked a lot and when Crowton got to LSU he offered Hatch to come over here and he did. Ended up being very useful.

To play SEC football and get a National Championship ring.

Two posts have been marked unreadable in a thread about Hatch leaving.

would have been a good mentor for our qb's comin in.

You don't waste a scholarship on a mentor in the SEC.

Glad he is gone, makes room for more talent.

i thought he wanted to go into coaching and crowton was going to take him under his wing. i figured he'd end up being a grad assistant working with crowton and the offense. that's the only logical reason for someone with his physical abilities to leave harvard for LSU

It wasn't wasted if he did indeed play significant time, and he did, he helped us win the Auburn game at that.

Seriously, some of you need to grow up with the hostility you are showing towards someone who gave up alot to come to LSU, a place we all think is so special. Yet, we criticize someone for taking that opportunity?

Congrats Hatch. Hope you have all the success in the world.

Does this free up a scholarship? Or, did he never earn a scholarship?

Harvard? Not sure why anyone would want to transfer FROM Harvard to begin with. Thats as good as it gets. You're set for life with a degree from one of those big shot colleges.

Do you know if he will even play football at Harvard? He may just want to go back for the education.
