Saw 2 before enough light to tell what they were
Saw a spike around 7:30
Saw a nice 8 around 8:30, but I couldn't make him look old enough to shoot
Changed stands to a spot where I have pics of shooters in mid day, but rain picked up
Back in pop up blind now

Was suppose to hunt BB this morning, got the call from the buddy who wanted to get out there early to secure our spot that we got beat. They left the bar early and got out there about 1am. Turned off the alarm and slept in , glad we did, they didn't pull the trigger. Every report I have heard is no birds in site anywhere on the northshore. Guess my hunting season wont be starting this weekend afterall.

Yeah, Lisbon right off Stewart (Stuart?) Rd.

Trailed blood and hair for 100 yards. Blood ran dry. I'm puzzled and sick. Going look again.

Not a hunter but I love living vicariously through these threads. At least some people are out in the woods while I sit at the office.

I am from out that way and its the only place I have to hunt this year. May make some hunts at my buddies place in Monterey but it doesn't have any water or birds right now.

That was the plan but with it not raining and cool I couldn't just sit at home

I'm just a few miles north of you. Saw a decent 8 pt, hope he makes it through the season. Trying to decide between game and hunting this afternoon.
