They are averaging 246 yards per game...I believe LSU could attain stats similar to that moving forward (obviously won't reach that average after the way the season started, but 246 isn't some crazy number).

Uh 246 passing yards a game would end up being the 4th best passing season in lsu history.

Why the hate for Harris????? He is progressing.. That's what we need as of now.... Jennings didn't look as impressive as Harris did yesterday in ANY game from last year...........

He looked more comfortable yesterday. Hopefully he will continue to improve.

The only thing that will solve BH's timing issues are reps and film study...The strength of our running game has limited Brandon's reps..This game will be tough..Fla will take particularly pride in attempting to stop LF and their secondary takes issue with LSU known as DBU..Florida's secondary will jump routes all day; double moves will be open for BH as long as he has time to get off passes

The hate? I want Harris to succeed as much as any Tiger fan, but until yesterday his accuracy was in question.

This has nothing to do with Jennings and I don't want Jennings to start.

I guess you just ignored the part of the post that said,b"EXCEPT FOR THIS PASSED SATURDAY "

Watch Boykin of tcu from his first season starting and look at where he is now. Harris will be legit his senior year. Not Heisman legit but will win us some games.

My problem with it is "This is what we have." We're LSU and WE should be able to recruit better QB's than we have. Brandon Harris is Jordan Jefferson reincarnated. He over throws, under throws or is late throwing most of his attempts. JJ all over again.

My biggest concern going forward with Harris is that he has to know where the safeties are when he throws over the middle. He almost got Jeter killed earlier in the season, and the same thing happened yesterday with Dupre.

Gotta protect your WRs with your placement on those throws.

It's the accuracy problem. He threw high on both of those throws and his wrs paid the price.

Possibly. That's certainly a better outlook than if he had no idea where the safety was, which is what I suspect... on the play to Dupre in the redzone, he was staring him down the whole way and the safety would have crushed Dupre if he was playing the receiver instead of playing the ball.

I agree Harris needs more polish, but fans keep forgetting he is a true Sophomore with only 6 starts. If CLM keeps throwing 25 times per game Harris will improve! The kid could be 2nd team all SEC next year. Remember MacAron had a couple years under his belt before he played at Bama and a genius offensive linemen Barret Jones to put him in all the right plays. Cam Newton had a year or so under Tebon before he transferred to Auburn.

yeah he's talking foolishness. Harris and the receivers need to keep improving for the home stretch. Gonna need them in a bad way I think

To the People still skeptical on Brandon Harris...
It is easy to be "skeptical" about Harris. He hasn't shown that he is anything beyond an average, yer very talented QB. He is a below average passer with below average pocket presence, but he does have excellent speed and instincts while running.

I would like to give Jennings a meaningful drive in a game to see if he has made any improvement in the short passing game. Unfortunately the opportunity hasn't been there so far. I would even try McMillan.

The biggest improvement I have seen this year is the use of play action. Also we threw the ball a good amount yesterday through 3 quarters. I am a little troubled by the play calling, especially when the initial play call takes up most of the play clock in fairly obvious situations. The two timeouts in the first half were after we converted a short 2nd down with a fullback carry for 4 yards and after a missed pass play on first down. In both cases the down and distance was entirely predictable and I have no idea why the next play shouldn't be selected in the coaches minds.

At the very least get a default play running with a "check with me". It just looks horrible when you have the offense staring at the sideline for 20 seconds.

He picked Florida because they are playing overall good football. LSU is still playing sloppy football . Oh I think LSU could win if special teams improve and Steele gets his defense better in the 2 nd half, but we have yet to see those 2 things happen all season.

Well throw it more. Not just 1 freaking time a game. Like throwing to tight ends. We throw to them 1 maybe 2 times a game and that's it. When clearly they are weapons.
