Give me two minutes

Been an LSU fan my entire life. Have gone to the past four 'Bama games. This year we lost because of our O-line. Not Eitling, not the refs. But, and this is the biggest reason we have lost five in a row. We need to get rid of the bye week before this game. Look at how well Ole Miss and Arkansas does early in the season. We struggle because we are giving Saban two weeks to prepare for us. Even still we play them tough but if we got rid of the bye week before I bet we win at least two of the last three games. Move the bye to after the 'bama game so we can recover and our season is totally different.

Why? Bama is still gonna have a bye before our game anyway? It doesn't do us any good

Do you really think that giving Saban a bye without taking a bye for ourselves gives us an advantage?

I'm so sick of the OL excuse. I know ain't no way in hell Ole Miss's OL has been as good as LSU's and they still find a way to score. Arkansas's OL has had Austin Allen bludgeoned this year, yet they put up 30 on Bama. Even Tennessee and TAMU put up 10 and 14 respectively, and I know for damn sure their OL isn't better than LSU's. USC's OL was very limited at the beginning of the year, and they at least managed to get close enough to score 2 FGs and had 194 total yards on a neutral field.
No. LSU had talented receivers, experienced and decent OL, frigging Fournette, a 4 star QB in Etling, and playing at home where they have been disrespected as of late by Bama, and was completely shut out.
Western Kentucky had 10 points, 236 yards, and averaged 3.98 yards per play on the road.
Kent State had 0 points, had 166 yards, and averaged 3.61 yards per played on the road.
LSU had 0 points, had 125 yards, and averaged 2.45 yards per play at home.
LSU was the worst or tied for the worst in all three of those categories that Bama faced all year, while at the same time being at home, being the most experienced, having the most talent (by far), and having the most talented depth on offense. LSU's defense was the only one that held Bama under 33 points all year and despite all this, we were complete and utter garbage on offense.

Keep in mind that the schools doesn't decide the schedule. The SEC sets the conference schedule. The schools then decide when to fill the other dates with OOC teams and a bye week. Both teams were set to not have a conference game the week prior to this game. So they could either schedule an OOC game or use it as a bye. All schools must schedule their bye and OOC games around the conference schedule. So a school can't set a bye for when they want per se. There is some flexibility, but they still have to work around the conference schedule.

the gumps would still take their bye before our game. this would only hurt LSU by not having an extra week to rest and get healthy.

We suck on O-------LM started it & it will take a minimum of 3 years to right that ship.........Get used to it---& changing to another 'hobby' does relieve some of the frustration-----not all---but some....
