I had stopped buying Bitcoin and started again when ETFs were approved. Really doubt I’m alone. Institutional buying is going to change everything. Think a major move is coming soon.

We'll see. I Love Bama has an intriguing “bet” on BTC vs NVDA.

If anything, these ETFs will slowly help form a higher floor. Those buyers tend to buy for long-term portfolios.

I thought the bet was BTC vs some index fund, then someone came in later and said to track NVDA along with it

I own 1.25 bitcoin, purchased at $7k or so a few years ago. I also blew $18k on shitcoins at the sane time. I do not follow much because I am just holding long term. Every time I see this thread bumped it is either because it crashed or is spiking. I am happy today it is spiking!

No one wanted to actually escrow anything but the first person to put up an actual “challenge” was NVDA. Then Big Sur chimed in with S&P 500.

Since then S&P is up 21%, BTC is up 68%, NVDA is up 151%.

The only person to take the bet was Big Sur with the S&P 500.

A random person threw out NVDA but they never committed to the bet.

Correct. Almost no one understands what is about to happen. The last cycle was cut in half by the China ban and further suppressed by sh1tcoin chicanery by the likes of SBF, Mashinsky etc... People shell shocked by that expecting diminishing returns are going to be blown away by the incoming supply shock that hasn't even begun.

Wall St hasn't started buying in size yet but they're still gobbling up huge multiples of daily supply. When it starts to go it is going to melt faces. It's also not understood that we're in the early stages of fiscal dominance and the question is when, not if, does the Fed lose control of the long end of the yield curve. When that happens all bets are off, these ETFs will siphon off small percentages of pension and insurance co tranches that have traditionally been dedicated to long dated treasuries.

Yes. Nobody understands the Copy/Paste narrative that has been the consensus for 2-3 years.

I was able to break even on several shitcoins yesterday. Only took a couple of years Cashed those back out and now sitting on some cash to buy the mini dip for some blue chips.

NEVER hodl a shitcoin. Just look at the btc pair for literally any of them. Complete waste. There’s a time and place to buy them but you got to dump em. I don’t care if I miss on a 10x. The odds of it being a 1/10x are much greater.

Everyone agrees with this, but no one will agree what coins are shitcoins

They were literally the first person to post an alternative investment and Big Sur posted their results in his updates. No one wanted to escrow $1,000 for 2 years because that’s asinine.

I’m starting to look into getting a little more exposure to Bitcoin. Is there any benefit to owning a Bitcoin ETF rather than Bitcoin itself? Will the ETF directly reflect Bitcoin prices? E.g. If $10,000 were invested into both Bitcoin and Bitcoin ETF, would the gains/losses be identical?

I believe they would move in lockstep with each other, although I would rather have bitcoin to hold personally. The ETF is a good choice for people that do not want the responsibility of holding their own bitcoin. That would at least give you the exposure that you're looking for. Of course the "not your keys, not your crypto" mantra will be brought up which is a valid point, but if you're wanting to just get in on the action, as they say, the ETF is a safe play.

For a more risky play, look into the miners. They are the ones who should benefit the most from this new surge of money coming in. Most of the miners should do very well during the next bull run. Just be aware that these things are as volatile as it gets.

The ETF is great for someone who does not want the responsibility and stress of self custody.

The guy accepted your bet though - was on the first page and the first one to do so. You just never replied to him.

LINK

It’s awfully convenient that NVDA doesn’t count all of a sudden.

If you don’t put up money, it’s not a bet. How is this difficult for you to understand?

Big Sur put up cash.

Not taking anything away from his call, it was a great one. But words are just words.

You ignored him and then when he bumped it he said he’d Venmo or Zelle you.

Sur didn’t escrow anything either.

All good though, just funny that the first actual offer was ignored and is crushing it.
