Starting to see some agitation in that line to the west of Houston. That might be a sign that things are about to ramp up intensity wise.

Correct me if I'm seeing it wrong, but it looks like the flow is converging toward where that line is starting to blossom. Are the upper levels still as favorable for rain as last night and this morning with the obvious divergence over Houston.

I figure the dry air mixing in will at least make the rainmaking process a little less efficient for tonight's go round.

My inlaws live in clear lake near Arnaud bayou, any updates of that area?

Don't get your hopes up. Everything down there is has been getting hammered. Their home may be ok but access may be impossible.

Not super close but homes in friendswood had up to 5' of water in them.

And the mayor got the question about why he didn't evac the city in his news conference.

He said an evac would have been horrible and worse and what they did was right and the safest things. A black mayor. 12 hours of traffic. People running out of gas. And then hundreds of thousands trying to come back too soon blocking up the only roads that are still open. He basically made them look like fools.
