Ok but why do so many USL fans dislike LSU? I don't know any LSU fans that actively cheer against USL unless they are playing LSU.

To be honest what identity does LSU have? Y’all Tiger is a mascot how many colleges and universities have a Tiger as a mascot? LSU tries to make it sound unique by calling themselves the Bayou Bengals. Then in an attempt to try to make themselves more unique they say it comes from the Tiger Regiment during the Civil War.
Name something that LSU has that represents Louisiana? I can name the colors, and tailgating that is it.
Our school represents little more than that. We call ourselves the Ragin Cajuns, which is actually a physical group inside Louisiana. Something that Louisiana actually takes pride in.
Second the colors actualiy represents the area. The color of the University is Vermillion which is the color of the rivers, and bayous of Louisiana.
Third is that we actually use symbols that represent Louisiana for example the FDL. Where does LSU use the FDL on anything?
Fourth is that we have one of the best tailgating, LSU does to.
Fifth we try to do it with class, LSU between the fans and the school y’all are writing apology letters to other universities about how we are sorry about how bad our fans treated them at the game. It’s not about being soft, try to do it with respect.
This will be my last post so fire away.

Ya'll were the Bulldogs until the 60s. The University didn't take any pride in the Cajun name when cajuns were persecuted and the cajun language was forbidden in schools.
Which also brings up the fact that for most of the state's history, cajuns were not liked and treated pretty crappy until one got in the Governor's Mansion.
