Eddie Kennison did have a KOR against Michigan State in the I-Bowl, '96 or so.

Right after Plaxico Burress had a KOR.

Eric Martin was last one to do it,

Given the number of absolute studs we've had at LSU that returned punts* and kicks, this may very well be the strangest stat in college football.

* I realize we've had a ton of punts returned in Tiger Stadium for TD's, I'm simply pointing out the total number of exceptional return guys we've had and have still not managed this feat at home since the early 80's.

As long as CEH is back there we won’t see one.

I know y'all like "CSB"s.

In 1981 WJBO a.m. carried the LSU games locally on radio (for many, many years actually). I was a soph at LSU that year and was down low in the endzone and a couple of us were at the fence. When Martin crossed the goal line, he high-fived us before going back to the bench.

WJBO did a tv commercial promo for their coverage of LSU football and showed Martin's KO TD run vs Kentucky. You could see us in the commercial jumping up and down like nuts high fiving him.

I like this fact. It means we play good defense.

It was Derrick Mason - I think Plax was a little later.

Donte Jackson returned one for a TD against Jacksonville State in 2016 in Tiger Stadium.... Called back for holding

Not with CEH and LF back deep. They’re not true KO return men. Need a Donte Jackson-type, with speed and elusiveness.

Stingley is an option. Jontre Kirkland has speed. Derrick Dillon.

Damn. LSU has more kickoffs kneeled down at the 1 than returned for a TD in Tiger Stadium since then.

That's one of those facts that just seems like it can't be right, but it is.

All of those great returns that flipped games, all of Mathieu's breaks and Trindon Holliday's warp speed returns? Punts or on the road.

If you're thinking Derek Stingley, you might need to go look at the depth chart.

I'm thinking Trey Palmer. But that's probably just a dream.
