The bottom line is that they don't deserve it. We beat them on the field at their house, and won the game everybody said we had to win. Now, just like in 2011, the media is saying that game didn't matter. That's bullshite! If Bama gets in and beats us, it will completely invalidate everything we've done so far in the minds of everyone except some LSU fans. I don't want to take that risk, and no other team would be getting the chance at a fricking THIRD mulligan!

How fair is that to the team that accomplished so much with their time, sweat, effort, and pain?
You expect them to take all their marbles and put them on the table, double or nothing, to a team that only has to beat one Top 15 team, after they have to beat ANOTHER Top 5 team for the right to play them after beating them at their place, all the while, they’re sitting back watching you risk injury in that extra game?
That’s bizarro world, dude. If that’s the best they can do to settle who their “champion” is, I say there’s no validity or value in any of it.

Exactly. We have to beat them twice. They only have to beat us once, and if they do, it's the game that "really matters." How is that even remotely fair? The current CFP system is nothing more than a popularity contest when the "eye test" can be used to build up an undeserving team's resume and/or discredit the season of a team that has accomplished it all on the field.

As stated before, why should LSU be penalized for winning the West and playing in the SECCG risking injury. Only to have Alabama sit at home getting healthy and relaxing.
Winning your conference should be an advantage not a punishment.

Thr regular season is the playoffs in college football. A team that doesn’t win their division, much less play for the Conference Championship, should not be conidered. It must be nice to sit at home, rest, and not have to play a top 5 team with potential injuries, and still be able to play for a national championship. Yes, I’m still bitter.

Seems like a dumb, twisted view of our schedule. We beat and kept them out the playoffs. We know they are a playoff roster, and we beat them. Now we play the other worthy opponents. Why should they be allowed in twice
