Agreed kinda lame but every single pr department would do that, LSU included.

It would seem that Joe Brady, Jorge Munoz, and E took Junior year joe and developed him. Lol. They gave us an average QB and we made him a GOAT.

Lmao you can't be serious

You're saying in an alternate universe where Justin McMillan becomes the #1 draft pick in the NFL draft followed by Ja'Maar Chase, our media team is getting on Twitter and claiming "Two LSU tigers selected 1 and 2!"

Sweet, dood.

When Justin Fields goes #1 next year, I'm sure the Georgia Assistant AD will hop online to remind everyone a Dawg went #1

I dont know if it has ever happened before that a player was recruited to and graduated from a blue blood program or any program at all for that matter and then transferred and won the Heisman and national title.

It's so bizarre it really doesn't have a case study.

Just enjoy the ride. The story is better than the trophies.

Especially when you factor in Georgia letting Fields go who is a top 5 QB pick next year as the guy that had the best TD INT rating in NCAA last year.

Its fricking nuts to see this shite

Baker Mayfield
Kyler Murray

They did all except for winning the national title. I don’t know that Texas Tech and Texas A&M went to twitter to pound their chests for running off the #1 pick.

LSU didn’t make a big fuss over Trey Quinn getting drafted by the Redskins.

Which one of those graduated from their first school and was a graduate transfer?

I must have missed that

Joe is from Ohio and is an alumnus of OSU.

He was recruited and developed by all-time great coach Urban Meyer.

He will always be a buckeye. It doesn't matter if he had more success at LSU.

If Peyton wins 2 superbowls in Denver he would always still be a Colt.

Joe spent 3 very formative years at OSU.

If Justin McMillan (who graduated from LSU) was the #1 pick out of Tulane, the thought would never even cross my mind that an LSU Tiger went #1. He never played here.

The way they latch onto Burrow’s accomplishments at LSU is beyond weird.

Nobody argued otherwise. But using his LSU accomplishments to promote your brand is pretty corny.

Bingo! He had 39 passes at OSU. Nothing he did there warranted him getting drafted first.

OSU thumping there chest for going 1-2-3 is hilarious

It would be different if they were solely claiming him. They also have the second and third picks to claim. Ppl also do this all the time for a recruiting benefit.

Well that's a name I haven't seen since 2012. I almost forgot about you and your shitty takes. I wonder which one you have for me today.

And there it is, right on que.

Equating Peyton Manning's 14 year career as a Colt (which included a SB win) with a 3rd string QB who attempted a whopping 39 passes.

DIfferent year, same Bhamdore.

And this is why people mock your arrogant retaded fanbase. Absolutely no one cares if you support/root for Burrow. Using his draft position he earned at another school to prop up your school's "NFL pipeline" is pretty cringeworthy. That's the simple concept.

Be happy for the guy. That’s what normal people do. But to try to somehow claim ownership (even partial) of his and his team’s accomplishments as though it has anything to do with Ohio State is embarrassing.

Joe Burrow completed 30 passes for Ohio State.

Like I said in the other thread, it's like IU claiming Larry Bird because he was on campus for 3 weeks and went to some practices before dropping out.

Then becomes a star a year later at Indiana State.

"Former IU recruit, faces Magic in National Championship Game!"

"Former IU recruit, gets drafted by the Celtics!"

"Former IU recruit wins NBA Rookie of the Year...Indiana President says he's proud!"

I mean, how long is OSU gonna play this bullshite? If Burrow wins MVP of the NFL, is Ohio State gonna have a Joe Burrow day?

Did Joe Burrow win a Heisman at OSU? Did Joe Burrow win a Natty at OSU?

Joe Burrow had a cup of coffee and a sandwich at OSU...that's it.

Then why was he wearing a shirt with the map of Ohio on it last night? Why has he repeatedly thanked Ryan Day? Why did he make it a point to bring up Ohio State during his Heisman speech?

Go frick yourself if you can’t get it. Jesus, LSU is THE most insecure fan base in existence. You can’t even accept winning without having to shite on someone else. Pathetic.

Jesus, your fanbase is full of dumb. Since when did the state of Ohio=Ohio State? Since when does Columbus have the same area code of Athens, Ohio?
quote:

Why has he repeatedly thanked Ryan Day?

Because it's his former coach. Not out of the ordinary.

Because that's where his career started. A transfer QB. Not out of the ordinary.

Your own assistant athletic director saying OSU can lay claim to the #1, #2, and #3 picks in the NFL draft (even though the guy picked #1 was picked first bc of what he did at ANOTHER school)? Definitely not normal and only something weird OSU folks would do.
