I’ve now given up on the glamping idea and am wanting to find a good place for tent camping in either Arkansas, north Alabama, or Georgia. Trying to keep the drive to under 10 hours
I’ve got four other little trips booked in the next 45 days so I’m wanting to go in August or September

Look up Sand Rock, Cherokee Rock Village, in north Al.
It’s on a ridge and the temps may stay nice. I know there’s a great river near by that y’all can hike down (we used to go when it was too hot to climb), but I’m not sure the name. Great place to night explore, cool caves and caverns.

Balsam Mountain Campground in the Smoky's is at a high enough elevation that the temps stay around 70's all day.

That is also very close to Little River Canyon National Preserve. That would make a great day trip if you are camping up there. While I never camped there we had a great time there as well as exploring Noccalula Falls is Gadsden which is also nearby.
