Seemed like some weak strike attempts to me, are bobcats immune to a rattlesnake bite? I mean I'd assume one landed strike from the snake and the bobcat would be dead right? Not immediately certainly.
I think they definitely have a high tolerance for venom. Large domesticated dogs can handle venomous snake bites fairly well so I would assume a wild bobcat would fair similar

Too bad Eve's cat wasn't that quick or we would still be living in the Garden.

to our feline overlords
One of my mom's outside cats does that all the time. Yes she brings the dead snakes to the back door to show it off. Also she usually finds at least one rattlesnake nest in my mother's flower gardens and destroys it. I normally hate cats but I like that one.

That cat definitely dominated the rattlesnake but I’ve seen a large bobcat cower away from a raccoon. I always wondered which of those 2 is more dominant. Now I know!!
