Georgia Southern, who over the years has had success on the level of App State (never got three in a row but did win back to back championships 3 times) has been talking about making the move. I think they're crazy. I like the fact that each year we have the ooportunity to compete for a national championship...even if it is a lower level.
We'll see if we're ready in a couple of weeks against Georgia. I'm not expecting it to be pretty.

you are exactly right!!
These borderline teams that move up to I-A are leaving a pure form of playoff football, for an absolute retarded championship process.
So now if Marshall, Boise St. or Troy goes 12-0 they will not play in a playoff, but will instead play in a post season game...that basically means absolutely nothing.
Hell Auburn a few years ago went undefeated in the best conference in college football, and didn't make the championship game. that is just God awful.
